Position: Environmental Protection Officer

This is Daventry District. Where rural charm meets urban living, supported by a £100m regeneration programme, including a cinema, restaurants and a new Leisure Centre in the East of the District. This is an opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to tackle issues which are a major cause of concern to residents in our district. You will primarily deal with complaints about environmental crime including fly-tipping, littering and Illegal carriage of waste. The successful candidate must have experience of dealing directly with the public in an enforcement role, will be educated to a good standard, and be able to work flexibly, often outside of office hours. It’s a busy job looking after Daventry district, so we’ll make sure you are looked after too. We’re flexible, family-friendly and nice people to work with. Position: Housing Option Officers (full time and part time hours available)

As a Housing Options Officer here at the Council, you can play an important part in improving lives for everyone here in Daventry District too. Your role will be to assist in the delivery and statutory duties, powers and policies of the Housing Options Team. The prevention and relief of homelessness. Providing support work, creating personal housing plans and achieving housing solutions. Assessing homeless applications. Arranging temporary accommodation when necessary. Registering Homechoice applications and nominate applicants from the housing register to suitable properties in accordance with agreed policies and procedures. Completing financial assessments for Disability Facilities Grants. While you’re busy making life better for other people in Daventry, we’ll make life better for you. Position: Technical Administrator (Full time 37 hours per week)

In this essential role you’ll provide an effective administrative service to the development control team by processing planning applications, pre-applications, appeals and enforcements. We’re looking for someone with experience of providing high quality administration and dealing with the public. You’ll also need to be able to interpret maps and plans.
